Aussie grafter Damian Cudlin has been named as the Pramac Ducati rider for this weekend.
Cudlin who raced in New Zealand in his teens, will ride as a replacement rider for MotoGP legend Loris Capirossi, who injured his shoulder at the last GP.
The young Aussie thanked Sito Pons for suggesting him as a rider and said he was still in shock at the opportunity.
The MotoGP race will run on Sunday afternoon at Motegi in Japan, NZ time. Cudlin will have Randy de Puniet as a team mate.
