DAVIES FASTEST IN SECOND SESSION AT SEPANG

Ducati rider Chaz Davies topped a wet second practice session for the Malaysian round of the eni Superbike World Championship at Sepang on Friday, but Max Biaggi was fastest for the day courtesy of his strong pace in the dry first session.

Alex Lowes on the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000 was second fastest on the wet Sepang circuit in the afternoon, which saw most of the riders initially lapping around 27 seconds a lap slower than in the dry first session.

As the track dried, the pace increased to the point they were only seven seconds off their dry track pace.

Third fastest on the drying track was Leon Haslam on the Red Devils Aprilia.

Neither Kawasaki Racing Team riders - Tom Sykes nor Jonathan Rea - took part in the second Friday session.
