FEBVRE WINS MOTO 1; BT DNFs

Frenchman Romain Febvre (Yamaha YZF450F) won a sensational first moto in the MXGP in Thailand from multi-championship winner Antonio Cairoli (KTM SX450) with 2015 MX2 champion Tim Gajser (Honda CRF450) third.

New Zealand's Ben Townley, who had set fastest qualifying time, was running comfortably just behind the leaders in fourth place when his Suzuki RM-Z450 stopped on the ninth of 19 laps.

As a result, Russian Evgeny Bobryshev (Honda CRF450) took over fourth place and held it to the finish.

The first three had turned on the fireworks all race, despite the stifling heat.
